Insurance
Tree City Wellness is an out-of-network facility and thus we do not bill insurance for appointments. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, you may receive a partial reimbursement for sessions with out-of-network providers. It is suggested to call your insurance carrier to determine your out-of-network benefits prior to scheduling an appointment. As an alternative, many individuals also opt to use their HSA/FSA cards for therapy.
Out of Network Reimbursement Opportunity
As an out-of-network provider, we have partnered with Mentaya to support clients in saving money and potentially receiving reimbursement for out-of-network services. We use this service as a courtesy to our clients and it is of no benefit to our practice. You can use the benefits checker here to see if your plan qualifies. Please note that a mental health diagnosis is still required in order for you to submit a claim to your insurance even for out-of-network billing. Some individuals opt not to involve their insurance at all if they do not want a diagnosis attached to their health record. Find out how much you may get back for sessions by clicking here.
Payment
We accept cash, check, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your appointment please contact your therapist as soon as possible or at least 3 business days before your next appointment. You will incur the full cost of your session fee if you cancel within the cancellation window.
The No Surprises Act Effective January 2022
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you agree to a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate under The No Surprises Act, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises
